Paul Rene Tremblay, 68, of Rensselaer, passed away peacefully at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home in East Greenbush, on Sunday, September 3, 2023.
Paul was born to Rene and Phyllis Tremblay on December 1, 1954, in Albany. He graduated from Rensselaer High School in 1972. He earned a degree in Metal Machine Shop at Wake Technical College in Raleigh, NC, and then worked as an apprentice at Square D Company, Knightdale, NC. In 1984, he and his family moved back to New York where he worked as a machinist at the Watervliet Arsenal until 1990. He enjoyed traveling in his RV, or on his Trike motorcycle; was an avid and accomplished guitar player and was very interested in the Civil War history at Gettysburg PA, where he spent a lot of time camping. He made friends on his travels and would always make a point to visit his family in both New York and North Carolina over the years.
Paul is survived by his children; Jennifer Tremblay of Castleton, Christopher (Kim) Tremblay of East Greenbush, Mark (Jenny) Tremblay of Rensselaer; his six grandchildren, Aiden Christopher, Christopher John, Jr. “CJ”, Alexandra Grace "Lexi", Sadie Ann, Tyler Rene, and Shiloh Ryan. He is also survived by his siblings, Philip (Donna) Tremblay, Judy (Steve) Keith, and Rene (Kristen) Tremblay, Jr. He is preceded in death by his father; Rene Tremblay, mother; Phyllis (Henderson) Tremblay; and brothers; Robert, and Dennis Tremblay.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Evergreen Commons Nursing Home in East Greenbush for providing Paul with home-felt care and comfort during his uphill battle over the past 6 months. It was because of YOU that we were able to each find our peace and have that quality time of joy and laughter before the end. The family plans on having an intimate burial/memorial service with immediate family and friends.
