Patricia Jarvis

Troy- Patricia M. Jarvis age 90 yrs. Of Troy passed away Friday Nov. 13, 2015 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. She was born in New Bedford, MA and was raised in Prospect Heights in East Greenbush before settling in Clinton Park in East Greenbush. Mrs. Jarvis was a secretary working for Dr. John Edwards. Pat was generous with her time volunteering for Melvin Roads American Legion Post and St. Mary's Church both in Clinton Heights. She was a member of the Unity Church in Albany. Wife of the Late Dr. William C. Jarvis and former wife of the late John F. Mahar. Mother of Michael Mahar of San Diego, CA, Colleen (Paul) Thompson of Rensselaer, Frank (Paulette) Mahar of Glenville, James (Lynne) Mahar of Scottsdale, AZ and John Mahar of East Greenbush. Daughter of the late Francis and Melina Daigle McLaughlin. Sister of the late Elaine Quinlivan, Frances McLaughlin and Yvonne Soderland. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Wednesday morning at 10:00 all are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be in New Rural Cemetery East Greenbush. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Xeroderma Pigmentosum Society, 437 Snydertown Road, Craryville, NY 12521.
