Norma A. Poland - age, 86 has been reunited with her loving husband of 62 years ,James F. Poland, Jr., She passed away peacefully at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush on October 23, 2017 after a brief illness. Norma was born in Saratoga and lived in Troy for most of her life before moving to East Greenbush 7 years ago. Norma was employed by Rensselaer County Social Services for 12 years. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Catone and Joanne (Kevin) Jensen. Grandchildren, John Catone, Jr., Arielle, Megan and Katelyn Ooms, and Joyce-Lynn and Mitchell Jensen; Great-grandchildren, Johnny and Bailey Catone; her six siblings, Carol Alcombright, Cathy (Chuck) Miller, John (Carol) Eames, Elaine (Jack) Gardy, Steve (Marie) Eames and Dennis (Ellen) Eames; Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and longtime friends. Daughter of the late Catherine (Murray) Eames and Norman Eames , Sr. She was predeceased by her three siblings, Regina Rusch, Mary Ann Del Signore and Edward Eames. Calling hours will be held at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer, on Monday October 30, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday October 31, 2017 at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home.. Interment will follow the service to Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
