Cohoes- Nichele S. Robinson of Cohoes, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 28, 2024. Nichele was born in Albany, to the late Frances M. Holmes and Stanley E. Robinson of South Korea. Nichele was educated in the Albany City School District, graduating in 1992. Over the years, Nichele has resided in Texas, Georgia, and Maryland, however, she always found her way back home.
Always a hard worker, Nichele was known to work several jobs at once. Most recently, she was employed with Maximus as a call center representative, since 2017. Prior to Maximus, Nichele was a long-time employee of CVS Pharmacy.
Nichele had a serious passion for art and could draw and recreate a scene from memory. Nichele was a music enthusiast and enjoyed going to concerts. Her favorite artists were Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars. If one of her favorite songs came on while shopping, Nichele could often be found dancing in the middle of the store. As a creative, she enjoyed keeping up her appearance and had the right pair of sneakers for every outfit. Forever a foodie, Nichele enjoyed a good cuisine and trying new restaurants. From childhood, there was usually an animal in Nichele’s home. Naturally, pets gravitated towards her, making her an “animal whisperer”. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and watching her favorite crime shows like Law & Order: SVU.
Left to cherish her loving memory and who never left her side during this difficult journey is her daughter, Dominique Robinson (Thomas Kudlack). She is survived by her precious granddaughter, Magnolia, who she lovingly referred to as “Midget." Magnolia will forever love her Nu-Nu who was the light of her life. Nichele is also survived by her brothers, Ronald Burt (Albany, NY), Elon Mitchell (Albany, NY), and Stanley Robinson (Tampa, FL); sisters, Marcella Anderson (Delmar, NY), Karen Mitchell (Albany, NY), and Kameka Randolph (Washington, D.C.); bonus children, Tiana Lewis (Troy, NY), Xavier Lewis (Newark, NY), Isaiah Hermitt (Albany, NY), and a host of family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Nichele's family on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave. Rensselaer, NY 12144.
