Michael Petropol

North Greenbush-Michael J. Petropol, Sr. age 63 years passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday May 2, 2017 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany with his loving family by his side. He was born in Troy and has lived in North Greenbush for most of his life. Mike was owner of M.J. Petropol Construction Masonry Specialist for 37 years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting with his son and family. Mike had passion for classic cars, owning a 1968 Chevelle with the license plate 68 PIA. He looked forward to Wednesday card night with his buddies. Mike enjoyed spending time with his special dinner and vacation group of friends. He is survived by his loving wife and childhood sweetheart of 45 years Joanne Marie Lynch Petropol; loving father of Jody Marie Petropol and Michael James (Stephanie) Petropol, Jr.; special grandfather of Allie Joanne Whitney, Max James Petropol and Sammie Lee Petropol; brother of Leon (Jean) Petropol, Nancy Ann (Bill) Schrump and the late Ann Benson and Jackie Petropol. Loving brother-in-law of Linda (Gary) Berner; son of the late Peter Leon Petropol and Nancy Balla Hughes; son-in-law of the late Theresa Rossi. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many close friends. Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Thursday at 12:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Thursday prior to the service from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Interment will be Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbsush.
