Maureen ("Mo") Margaret (Sullivan) Sleasman, born on November 4, 1940, died on July 3, 2017. She was born in Troy, NY, one of three daughters of Michael and Rose Sullivan. Mo grew up in Latham, NY, and attended Keveny Memorial Academy in Cohoes, NY. In 1958, she graduated from Watervliet High School as salutatorian, and then moved on to be an accomplished clerical worker. Mo began her long career at the New York State Department of Labor, then moved to the office of the Deputy Director of Veterans' Affairs for the State of New York. Shortly after, she became secretary to the operating manager of Montgomery Wards' Catalog Department. Mo then moved on to work in the family business and simultaneously became a Real Estate Agent for Bob Howard Inc. in the 1980's. In the 1990's, she took on secretarial jobs at LaSalle Institute, Troy, NY, T&J Electric, Troy, NY, and, finally, for Saint Michael's Church in Troy, NY. Mo loved long rides to find new places to eat, traveling, cooking, reading, crossword puzzles, listening to people, and spending time with her family and friends. Mo is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Anthony J. Sleasman, Sr., of Wynantskill, NY, daughter, Lynn Scott (John) of Averill Park, NY, and son, Anthony Sleasman, Jr. (Patty Lavery-Sleasman), of Cohoes, NY. She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Elizabeth Michna of Watervliet, NY, Matthew Scott (Tia-Marie) of East Greenbush, NY, and Catherine Scott of Buffalo, NY, 2 step-grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 step-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday July 9, 2017 from 2 pm to 6 pm at Saint Michael the Archangel Church in Troy, NY. A full Catholic mass will be held on Monday July 10, 2017 at 10 am, also at St. Michael's Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Mo to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C., 20090-6011.
