Mary C. Lanzilotti

August 18, 1934 — April 19, 2023

TROY - Mary C. Lanzilotti, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Mary "Connie" was born on August 18, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Myrl Miller Cummings. Connie was the devoted wife to the late James Lanzilotti; they were married for 66 wonderful years.

Connie spent her life as a loving homemaker, not only raising her four loving children but also helping with her beloved grandchildren. In her spare time, Connie loved to bake beautiful wedding cakes as well as help her husband Jim of "Jim's Quick Shoe Repair" with dying shoes for his clients. If she wasn't down in the basement running her side businesses, she was upstairs in the kitchen making sure her family always had something to eat. Connie was a wonderful host and her house on 15th Street was the home base for her entire family. There wasn't a holiday or Sunday that went by where you didn't see everyone outside by the pool or gathered around the dining room table. Connie and Jim provided lifelong memories to their family in those cherished years everyone spent together. Connie was also a dancer, and loved bowling, shopping, getting her hair done and traveling.

Connie is survived by her loving children, Patricia Lanzilotti (Steve Smith Sr.), Mary Lou Carroll, Lisa Zalucki (Paul), and James Lanzilotti (Anita); and her cherished grandchildren, Tiffany Carroll, Matthew Carroll (Kyrsten), Melissa Phillips (James), Kimberly Carroll, Samantha Stillman (Kip), Andrew, Kyle and Justin Lanzilotti. She was also a proud great-grandmother and survived by six great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, MacKayla, Noah, Madison, Niko, and Mila; and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Connie was predeceased by brothers, Jack, Patrick, Joseph and James Cummings. Connie's memory will live on in the hearts of all she touched.

Special thanks to the Community Hospice for the compassion and care they provided not only to Connie but to her family.
