Rensselaer- Mary "June" Goca age 82 of Rensselaer passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. She was born at Brady Maternity Hospital in Albany NY and was a lifelong resident of the city of Rensselaer. Mary worked in earlier years as a telephone operator, and then a dry-cleaning clerk until she became a stay at home mom. She was very involved in the Gold Star Mother's Program at Fort Crailo American Legion and was a part of the Ladies Auxiliary. Mary was a communicant of St. John's Church for many years. Over the years she enjoyed making ceramics, trying her luck at scratch-offs and watching Wheel of Fortune. She also loved going for rides to check out interesting and beautiful places. She was loved very much. Mary had a strong and happy marriage to her husband of 52 years, "Bud" Goca who pre-deceased her in 2009. She is the mother of John Goca (Dawn) of North Carolina, Debra Dooris (Frank) of Lansingburgh and the late Mark W. Goca. Grandmother to David Goca, Michelle Goca, Peter Dooris and Christopher Dooris. Great grandmother to Tyler Stillman. Also survived by a few nieces and nephews. Funeral from W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Ave. Rensselaer on Monday morning at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-6 pm. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Rensselaer Senior Center, 50 Herrick St. #1 Rensselaer NY 12144. Special thanks to all of the wonderful caregivers that have been so very kind. We her family are so very blessed by each and every one of you.
