Marilyn Palmer

North Greenbush-Marilyn J. Jones Palmer, age 83 passed away on Friday January 22, 2016 at her home after a long illness. It was always Marilyn's wish to remain at home throughout her illness and this was made possible because of the loving care provided by her daughter Barbara. Marilyn worked for the New York State Dept. of Labor for 20 years and was a homemaker for many years. Mom loved life, her husband, children and family. She had many friends and will be missed by all. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents Edward and Delia Keefe Jones and her husband Gordon; mother of Christine Palmer of PA, Gary (Joni) Palmer of Syracuse, Barbara Palmer of Rensselaer and John Palmer (Stephen Busche) of Menands; grandmother of Nicole Palmer, Erin (Keith) Leblanc, Matthew Palmer and Ashleigh Roberts; great-grandmother of Brittany and Kevin. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday January 27 from 10 to noon. Funeral will be at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer on Wednesday January 27, 2016 at 12:00 noon. Interment will be in the New Rural Cemetery, East Greenbush.
