Maria Pezzulo

Naples, FL- Maria Teresa Pezzulo, 93 years of age, who was residing in Naples, Florida, passed peacefully surrounded by her sons, Anthony and Rocco, on November 22, 2015. She was born on July 28, 1922 in Siderno Calabria Italy. Maria was known for her strong leadership qualities and uncompromising personality, and a facilitator in the Italian-American community in the Albany area. Wife of the late Luigi Pezzulo. Survived by the eldest son, Anthony and life long partner Luis Bode, son Rocco Pezzulo and wife Mirela, and her four grandchildren, Alannah, Luigi, Anthony and Giulia Pezzulo. Also survived by her sister-in-law Esterina Panetta and many nephews and nieces residing in the United States, Canada and Italy. Funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Eagle Street, Albany where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Entombment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
