Margaret "Margie" Hennigan, 62, of North Greenbush passed away on April 11, 2016 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Margie grew up in Rensselaer and later lived in North Greenbush with her husband and children. Born in Albany, August 5, 1953, daughter of the late Philip and Doris Elacqua, Margie was a 1971 graduate of St. John's Academy and a 2011 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College. Margie was employed by the New York State Education Department as a secretary, where she met her husband Bob and many lifelong friends. She retired after 38 years in 2010. She also was an Avon lady during that period. Margie will be remembered for her outgoing personality, love of life, loyalty to her many friends and devotion to her husband, children, beloved grandchildren and other family members. She loved spending time with her family and her many friends and could always be counted on to remember a birthday or an anniversary with a thoughtful card. She enjoyed showering her grandchildren with love and gifts and spending as much time as possible with them. She especially cherished her annual family vacations to Cape Cod. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert Hennigan; her daughters, Allison (Michael) Bump of Averill Park and Erin (Brian) Hennigan-Masters of Schodack; her grandchildren, Charlotte Bump and Caleb Masters; her sisters, Doris Burns of East Greenbush, Cathy (Matt) Guinane of Nassau and Theresa (Danny) Maguire of Castleton; and brother Philip (Helen) Elacqua of Rensselaer. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Margie's family would like to thank the many individuals who provided her with kind and compassionate care, including her kidney doctor, the staff at the DCI-Reuben Dialysis Clinic in Clifton Park and the C3 East staff at Albany Medical Center.
