Margaret Carey

Cohoes-Margaret Riley Carey, age, 98 years, passed away January 29, 2016 at the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes. She was born in East Greenbush and lived in Rensselaer and Schodack. Margaret was a homemaker who loved her family dearly. Mrs. Carey was a communicant of the Church of St. Mary at Clinton Heights. Wife of the late Joseph "Jazzy" Carey; mother of Laraine (Michael) Turner, Robert (Sandra) Carey and Joseph M. (Rose Marie) Carey; grandmother of Michael C. (Mary Ann) Turner, Robert S. (Dawn) Carey, Mark (Elizabeth) Turner and Colleen (Brent) DiNovo; great-grandmother of Heather, Amanda and Karastin Carey, Carey (Ian) Fairlie, Sean, Riley and Owen Turner and Brandon and Olivia DiNovo; great-great mother of Kailyn Carey; sister of the late Jack Riley, Ellen Farrell and Catherine Loik. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Eddy Village Green for care, concern and support shown to Ma. Funeral will be from the Church of St. Mary at Clinton Heights, Columbia Tpke., East Greenbush Monday morning at 10:00. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Rensselaer Monday prior to the funeral from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
