Lisa Miller

Troy - Lisa Graber Miller died peacefully November 24 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Troy, Lisa was the daughter of the late Robert Graber and Ann Graber. Lisa was the devoted wife of John Miller and loving mother of Nick Miller. Lisa was a financial aid advisor at the Bryant and Stratton College having helped countless students achieve pursuit of a college diploma. Lisa was an active volunteer at Sacred Heart Church in Troy and dedicated friend to many. Lisa, John, and Nick loved rooting for the New York Giants and spent many summer days at training camp in Albany as well as New Jersey. In addition to her mother, Lisa is survived by her sister Laura (Paul) Ratigan, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and friends too numerous to mention. During her courageous fight Lisa was supported by many. The family would like to thank the Franklin Terrace Ballroom, Giuseppe's Restaurant and Bar, the band Under Cover, the families of Sacred Heart Church, the family of Bryant and Stratton in Albany, the Manny family, and all of our family and friends that supported us. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 28 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church in Troy. Friends and relatives are invited and may call at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave, Rensselaer NY, Friday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations to be sent to Christian Brothers Acadamy, 12 Airline Dr, Albany NY 12205 Attn: Nick Miller's Tuition for the continuing education of the light of her life.
