Linda M. Forte

Schodack - Linda M. Forte, age 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Marie Casullo (LaVoy).

Linda graduated from Albany High School and had a distinguished 44-year career with the Office of the State Comptroller, from which she retired in 2010.

She was devoted to her family, finding great joy in spending time with her loved ones. Most recently, she delighted in watching and playing with her great-grandchildren. Linda also treasured her trips to Florida and Myrtle Beach with her husband and enjoyed outings to the casino with her daughter.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Andrea (Don) Harrington, and her step-daughter, Michele Forte. She was the loving grandmother of Ty Harrington, Alaina (Shawn) Shilstone, and step-grandmother to Brianna Smith and Noah Moulton. Linda was also a proud great-grandmother to Aubrey and Harper Harrington, and Dominic Shilstone. She leaves behind her sisters, Janis (Richard) Cooley, Gina LaVoy, and Theresa Magrum and brothers-in-law, Thomas Forte and Kenneth Forte, along with several nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.

Along with her mother, Linda is predeceased by her beloved husband of 37 years, James (Jimmy) A. Forte.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at the Gerald B.H. Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, where Linda will be laid to rest alongside her late husband, James.
