Kathy Mihalko Bayly

Stephentown- Kathy Hughes Mihalko Bayly of Stephentown passed away suddenly on Wednesday December 20, 2017. She was born on December 11, 1942 in Albany and graduated Van Rensselaer High School in 3 years. She was employed by the New York Telephone Company before becoming a home maker to raise her family. Kathy enjoyed swimming in the pool all summer, watching the grandchildren's sporting events, an avid baseball fan, sewing, crosswords and puzzles, traveling to see family, learning the latest computer technology, had a love of laughter and a sense of humor but her biggest joy was her family. Wife of Francis "Whitey" Bayly and the late Michael Mihalko, Jr.. Mother of Michael (Dawn) Mihalko, Cindy (James) Coleman, Greg (Kristin) Mihalko and Gerry (Matt) Fuhrmann. Grandmother of Jimmy (Brianna) Coleman, Matthew Coleman, Megan Coleman, Olivia Mihalko, Mitchell Mihalko, Frankie Fuhrmann, Natalie Fuhrmann and Bob Fuhrmann. Sister of Gerry (Ray) Wilcox and the late James Hughes, Barbara Jean Hughes and Daniel Hughes. Sister-in-law of the Bayly's of Defreestville and the Mihalko family. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Saturday morning at 9:00 and 10:00 at St. Henry's Church in Averill Park where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Calling hours will be at the funeral home Friday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery East Greenbush.
