Albany- Julie La Vonne Gardner, 64, entered into eternal rest on June 30th, 2022. She was born July 26th, 1957 to Mary Sue Gardner and the late Leroy Gardner.
La Vonne was a long term employee at Albany Housing Authority and The Capital District YMCA until her more recent years where she was a stay at home grandma.
While living her best life she was unfiltered, unapologetic, always joking but loving.
La Vonne loved making jokes, sending Tik Toks, playing Animal Crossing(s) and being with her children and grandchildren. She was most known for her unfiltered mouth, famous quotes but most importantly her kind heart and spirit.
La Vonne was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, aunt and grandmother. She is survived by her mother Mary Sue Gardner. Her 5 children Alida Rivera, Je Vonne Bush, Tanisha Smith, Fatima McGregor and Sean Brown. Her five grandchildren Coreyonniaé Lee, Amareeonniaé Lee, Corey Lee, Jr., Sean Brown, Jr., and Courage. Her siblings Eric Gardner, Leroy Gardner Jr., Keith Gardner, Jeffery Fulton, Ronda Fulton, Lisa Gardner, Joyce Gardner, Teteys Gardner, the late Jennie Gales and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, Friday, July 8 at 5PM. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service beginning at 4PM.
