John Addario

May 28, 1929 — December 12, 2015

John R. Addario, 86, of Latham died suddenly Saturday, December 12th, 2015. Born in Albany, son of the late Joseph and Angelina Addario. John was a graduate of Phillip Schuyler High School. He went on to become a pressman for the Knickerbocker News and the Times Union. He retired as a draftsman from New York State OGS after 30 years of service. He was a Korean War veteran. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Latham. John loved camping with family, especially their annual trips to Myrtle Beach. He and his wife traveled extensively. John is survived by wife Leona and was a beloved husband of 57 years. He was also survived by his children Susan of Latham, Kathleen (David Cilberti) of Maryland, John (Paula) of Niskayuna. Other survivors include brother Augustine (Marie) Addario of Albany, Special friend and sister-in-law Kathleen Davis (Ed). Brother-in-law, Jack Janco (Mary Kay) of Texas. sisters-in-law, Pamela Janco of Colorado, Nancy Teolis of Connecticut, and Michelle Drury (Scott) of Texas. John was also step-grandfather to Amy Mangino of Stockholm and Christopher Mangino (Kelly) of Florida. Preceded in death by brother Frank (Rose), brothers-in-law Robert Janco and Jeff Teolis and niece Corrina Parslow. John is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, one may donate to a charity of their choice.
