Jeffrey Johnson

WATERVLIET - Jeffrey A. Johnson, 58, died Monday, February 25, 2019 at his home. Born in Manhattan, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Maryanne (Cox) Johnson. Jeffrey earned his master’s degree in social work from SUNY Albany, was a Master Social Worker and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor . He was employed as the Clinical Director at the Eleanor Young Outpatient Clinic in Troy. Jeffrey is survived by his wife Lisa (Reed) Johnson; his children Sabrina, Troy and Destiny Gladney; his grandchildren Logan Rafferty and Marcello Cabrera; his brother Eric Johnson; his sister-in-law Sandra Johnson; nieces and nephews Corey, Peter, Lovisha, Morgan and Emily Johnson and his great-grandnephew Dean Labrecht and great-grand niece Zoeii Johnson. He was predeceased by his sister Debra Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 1pm in the W.J. Lyons, Jr., Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 10am. Interment will follow the service in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Castleton.
