Jeffrey A. Clark

Rensselaer - Jeffrey A. Clark, age 54, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 14, 2025. Born on March 29, 1970, Jeff was a lifelong resident of the City of Rensselaer, he graduated from Rensselaer High School and earned an Associate Degree in criminal justice from Hudson Valley. His career path began in the world of banking, and later transitioned to computer systems and cybersecurity. Jeff recently retired after many years of employment with the Center for Internet Security.

Jeff enjoyed gadgets and all things tech. He was a music lover, especially Jazz, having played trumpet in the Yankee Doodle Band and Capital and Big Band. He was an avid reader and a cigar aficionado, and also enjoyed art. His idea of a perfect summer day was sitting on his backyard patio with the sprinkler-mister keeping him cool while reading a book. His passion for all things "Wicked" - the novel, movie and play -- was boundless. 

Jeff was a loving and dedicated husband to Lisa (Wimmer) Clark - his soulmate and best friend - who predeceased him almost a year ago.

Jeff leaves behind his father, Frederick W. Clark Jr. (Fran), brother Frederick W. Clark III (Beth), brothers-in-law John Wimmer (Stephanie) and Joseph Wimmer (Kimberly), and sister-in-law Donna Wimmer-Wilson (Brian), nephews Benjamin, Hayden and Owen Clark, and step-siblings Ernie Tubbs (Laura), Lisa Tubbs Provost, Martin Tubbs and Kevin Tubbs (Kate), and many aunts, cousins and good friends.

In addition to his wife, Jeff was predeceased by his beloved mother, Joan (Roberts) Clark.

Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 6:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with the family at the funeral home prior to the service on Tuesday from 4-6:30PM. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Wednesday, February 19th at 10:00 AM.

Jeff was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Finally, the family would like to thank the City of Rensselaer Police and Fire Departments for their kindness in a time of sadness.
