Jean C. Berhaupt

Rensselaer- Jean Carol Berhaupt, 79, of Rensselaer, passed away at Albany Medical Center with family members by her side. Her long and fruitful life began on January 22, 1942, in Feura Bush, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents Agnes and Oliver Proper, and husband of 28 years, Richard Matthew Berhaupt Sr. She is survived by her 9 children who were the light of her life; Richard Jr., Eugene, Aaron, Michael, Kurt, Dawn, Tammy, George, Christopher, and their spouses. She was a very loving and involved grandmother to 31 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. The family finds comfort in knowing that she is reunited with not only with her husband, but also her granddaughter Sierra. Funeral from W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home,1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer on Wednesday evening at 6:30. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 4- 6:30 PM.
