Grace Sheldon

Rensselaer- Grace Darrigo Sheldon, age 95 of Rensselaer passed away suddenly on Saturday Nov. 26, 2016. She was born in Middlesex, NJ and lived most of her life in Rensselaer. Grace was a Home Maker and was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Rensselaer. She enjoyed playing cards especially poker and her trips to the casinos. Wife of the Late Warren G. Sheldon, Sr., Mother of Elsie Brady, William (Barbara) Sheldon, Sr., Jennie (Clifton) Mercer and the late Shirley Peters, Warren Sheldon, Jr., Harry Sheldon and Vincent Sheldon. Sister of Vincent (Maria) Darrigo, Jeannette Giannone, Betty Lucy and the late Jack and George Darrigo and Justine Ford. Also survived by 14 Grandchildren many Great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Wednesday morning at 10:00 all are welcome to attend. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery East Greenbush.
