George Maloney

East Greenbush- George E. Maloney age 73 passed away on Tuesday January 15, 2019 at his residence. George was born in Albany and was a lifelong resident of the capital district. He started his career with the Albany Fire Department and after three years transferred to the Albany Police Department. He was a lifetime member of the Rensselaer K of C. Husband of the late Maude E. Maloney. Son of the late Jeanette & Edward Maloney. Brother of Bernard, Linda, Sandy and the late John and Milton Maloney. Father of David, Scott and Pauly Maloney. Grandfather of Pauly, Madeline and Marissa. He is also survived by many niece and nephews. George’s sons would like to offer a special thank you to Doug Nadorski for his tong time support. Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer, Tuesday morning at 10 Am. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call to the funeral home Monday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be in New Rural Cemetery, East Greenbush. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. The members of the Rensselaer K of C are requested to meet at the Lyons Funeral Home Monday evening at 6PM to conduct a service for our departed member.
