Fredric Malmberg, Sr.

Chatham - Fredric Wallace Malmberg, Sr., age 81, passed away on August 16, 2024, after fighting a long battle with health concerns from Agent Orange. He was born in Chatham, NY in 1943 and was the son of the late Wallace and Lyla Malmberg.

Fredric is survived by his son Fredric Wallace Malmberg, Jr., his four stepchildren Ricky, Linda, Terry, and Tammy, and his grandson Zackary Ryan Malmberg.

Fredric was the baby of the family and a brother to John, Joan, and Leon.  He kept in close contact with his niece, Sandy Gould.

Fredric was a lifelong resident of Chatham. He served in the United States Navy from 1961 - 1967 on the USS Independence, receiving an Honorable discharge.

Frederic was a truck driver and a member of the VFW. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and drinking. He was very proud of his grandson, Zackary Ryan Malberg, who is currently studying aerospace and mechanical engineering at SUNY Buffalo.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
