Frances McLaughlin

October 2, 1942 — April 21, 2025

Frances M. McLaughlin, age 82, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025. Frances was born in Albany, on October 2, 1942, to the late Peter and Stella Krascher. Frances lived most of her life in Rensselaer and worked for Rensselaer high school as an administrative secretary for over 17 years. She also volunteered for the Rensselaer little league for many years along with her late husband of 57 years, Thomas McLaughlin, Jr.

Together they had four sons Mark, Thomas, Stephen and Patrick; six grandchildren, Morgan, Casey, Matthew, Markey, Maddison and Christina and four great grandchildren, Lauchlin, Callan, MacKenzie and Amelia.

Frances came from a large family of 13 brothers and sisters. Our mother had a loving and generous heart and was well liked and known throughout our small city. She loved cooking for her family and especially loved her Sunday dinners. She always made sure no one was left hungry.

Frances will be laid to rest Tuesday, May 6, 2025 11:30am at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville alongside her late husband Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to help with funeral expenses can be mailed or dropped off in person to KeyBank, 615 Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush, C/O Stephen and/or Frances McLaughlin.

Thank you and God Bless.
