Frances Hicks

North Greenbush - Frances S. Hicks age 60 passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Fran was born in Albany and lived most of her life in East Greenbush before moving to North Greenbush in 2016. She was a 1976 Graduate of Columbia High School. Fran went through Vo-Tech to become an LPN and worked in various nursing homes and doctor's offices for over thirty years. She was an EMT for W.F. Bruen Rescue Squad for 10 years and was an avid NASCAR fan, but her pride and joy was her grandchildren. Daughter of Mary Ellen Conrad Scofield, and the late Gerald F. Scofield, Sr.; mother of Jeffrey M. Hicks and Jackie R. Hicks; grandmother of Raegan and Patrick; sister of Gerald (Kathleen) Scofield, Roger (Rebecca) Scofield and the late Deborah Wilson and Donna Pratt; aunt of Ashlee, Kyle, William, Emma, Braden, Cooper and David. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer on Friday at 10am. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4 to 7pm. Interment will be in Bloomingrove Cemetery, Defreestville.
