Evelyn Annello

Rensselaer-Evelyn Gonski Annello passed away at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital on Monday August 29, 2016. She was born in New York City and moved to Rensselaer before she was one year old. Evelyn was employed as a Personnel Clerk for the NYS Dept. of Education. She was a member of the Italian American Community Center, enjoyed bowling and was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church in Rensselaer. Wife of Joseph A. Annello. Step-mother of Joseph A. Annello, III and the late Sandra Jo Carter. Aunt of Albert (Fran) Cole, Jr., Denise (George) Cotugno, Laura (Brian) Prendergast, Kim (Brian) Fahrenkopf, Jeri Gonski, John (Tammy) Gonski and Tricia (Joe) Shaw. Daughter of the late Frank and Emily Gonski. Sister of the Late Chet Gonski, Pat Cole, Shirley Fiacco and Frank Gonski. Also survived by several step grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Friday afternoon at 12:00, all are welcome to attend. Calling hours will be at the funeral home Friday prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery East Greenbush.
