Eleanor Hill

North Greenbush- Eleanor Mae Hill, daughter of the late Merrill and Elsa Snyder Lee and wife of Anthony J. Hill, Jr. passed away June 15, 2017. Eleanor was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School Class of 1947 and the Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1950. Her nursing education and experience was enhanced at the University of Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital. She was employed at Samaritan Hospital, the office of Dr. Thomas F. D'Aurio and the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, CA. She remained a member and participant of her nursing Alumni Association and the Brunswick Historical Society. She is survived by her husband, her husband's family and her friends. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church Troy. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Tuesday morning at 9:30 and 10:30 at Sacred Heart Troy where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Calling hours will be at the funeral home Monday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery East Greenbush. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Warren Cemetery Boytonville or the Brunswick Historical Society.
