Edmund M. Davis, Jr.

Rensselaer - Edmund M. Davis, Jr., age 94, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, November 10, 2024. He was born in Rensselaer on November 28, 1929, to the late Edmund M. Davis, Sr. and Addie (Reed) Davis, and was a lifelong resident of the City of Rensselaer.

Edmund was a proud graduate of Van Rensselaer High School. His career began at General Aniline, where he met Jean, the love of his life. He later worked for General Electric in Waterford, retiring after 32 years of dedicated service.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Jean L. Davis, Edmund is also reunited with his parents. He will be deeply missed by his children, Carol and Brian Davis; his sister, Betty Lehmann; and his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 12:00pm-1:30pm at the W.J. Lyons, Jr., Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer. A service will follow at 1:30pm. Burial in Bloomingrove Cemetery, Defreestville.
