Rensselaer-Dorothy M. Conlon age, 89, passed away Thursday May 12, 2016 at Hudson Park Nursing & Rehabilitation in Albany. She was born in Plattsburgh, lived most of her life in Queens with her late husband Frank and has resided in the capital district for the past 20 years. She was a waitress at various restaurants in New York City and was a homemaker all of her life. Dorothy had a love for animals and was known to take in and care for strays. She also had a strong Catholic faith. Wife of the late Frank J. Conlon; aunt of Vicki (Jack) Rogers, Scott (Linda) Whitcomb, Bonnie (Stanley) Pulsifer, Dorothy Mary, Karen Lee, William (Catherine), Gail and George (Mabel) Whitcomb. Also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Wednesday morning at 8:00 and 9:00 at St. Patrick's Church 21 Main Street Ravena, where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Entombment will be in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont. The family would like to thank Dawn at Hudson Park Nursing & Rehabilitation for her care, concern and compassion shown to our Aunt Dorothy.
