Rensselaer- Brady, Denise J. “Dee Dee” It is with deep sadness the family of Denise Brady announces her passing on Friday, December 3, 2021 after a brief illness. Dee Dee was born on May 19, 1961 in Albany, NY, daughter of the late Shirley Mae Coons Brady and James F. Brady. A lifelong resident of Rensselaer, she recently retired from her home away from home, Morgan Linen Services, after 39 years of being a dedicated employee. Dee Dee, lovingly thought of as “the Brat”, was known for her quick wit and generous, caring, and forgiving nature. She was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, often sporting the team’s colors whether it was a jersey, scarf, or her nail polish. She took extra delight in ribbing the many Giants fans in her life. In addition to her parents, Dee Dee was predeceased by her sisters Ann “Tinker” Brady and Sharon M. Guesnon. She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters, William (Diane) Marshall, III, Ronald C. (Susan) Marshall, Dorothy L. “Dolly” (Michael) Pannitti, Shirley A. (Leonard) Maher, John Marshall and Joann Marshall, her aunt Gloria Bennett, many cousins, nieces and nephews, all of who she cherished, in particular Nessa, the little one who stole her heart, and her faithful cat Emmy. Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 4PM. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service from 2-4PM. Interment will be at New Rural Cemetery Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
