Deborah J. Reimann

April 10, 1956 — September 20, 2022

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Deborah Jean Reimann, of Rensselaer, New York, on September 20, 2022, at the age of 66, following a courageous month-long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her husband, sister and son. Deb was born on April 10, 1956, to her loving parents, the late William and Anna Irving in Albany, NY.

Deb is survived by her husband, William Reimann; her son, Shawn Boulé (Sarah) and granddaughters Addyson and Skylar; her stepdaughter, Helena Rambone, Chris Rambone, and grandchildren, Johnathan, JoAnna, Scarlette and Robert; her sister, Mary Irving (Stephanie); her nephews Timothy (Ruth Anne), Eric, and Wil; her great-nephew, Carter, and many adored extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Irving.

Deb grew up in Rensselaer, New York, and until her untimely death, was a beloved and active family and community member. She loved crafting, traveling and spending quality time with her friends and family. Deb spent much of her summers at their home in Brant Lake; boating, swimming and hanging out by the fire with Bill and the rest of the Brant Lake crew. She cherished her trips to Cape Cod with “the girls” and her and Bill’s time spent in the Thousand Islands. She was slated to retire on October 3rd from her career as an Operations Specialist at Community Care Physicians P.C.

During her lifetime, Deb touched the lives of many through her tireless volunteerism and involvement. Nicknamed “Sarge,” Deb had a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for serving her community. She was actively involved in several nonprofit organizations and assisted with a wide variety of fundraisers and events. Deb was a longtime member of the Rensselaer Alumni Association. During her tenure, she served as the Vice President, participated on committees and assisted in planning many community events. She was an assistant treasurer, secretary, board member, and chairperson of many different committees within the Rensselaer Kiwanis. Deb was a member of the Friends of the Rensselaer Public Library and volunteered for Rensselaer Pop Warner and Rensselaer Little League. Additionally, she was an honorary member of the Eastern Star.

Deb leaves behind a legacy of grace, passion, and commitment to her family and community. She was larger than life. Her shoes cannot be filled. May you rest in peace, Deb. You will be dearly missed.

Family, friends and community members are invited to call for a celebration of Deb’s life on Monday, September 26, between the hours of 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM at the W J Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave, Rensselaer, NY 12144. A burial will be private at the request of Deb and her family.
