Daeshawn A. Turner

Daeshawn Turner, affectionately known to many as “Dae Dae”, was born in Albany, New York on August 31, 1991, to Shawn Turner and the late Liane Caldwell. Daeshawn spent his life enjoying time with family and friends, sharing his love and loyalty to those who crossed his path. Daeshawn was known for shouting out his love for his family to anyone who could hear. He was also known to be a jokester of the group, making others smile without even trying and was known for busting out a rap or two when feeling positive energy of those around him. Daeshawn was loved by many and while we are all hurting from his leaving us to soon, we find some peace knowing he is with his devoted mother and his grandparents on his mother’s side who we all know are embracing him with the biggest hugs imaginable. Unexpected, on July 26, 2021, at the age of 29, Daeshawn transitioned into eternal life. He was predeceased by his loving mother, Liane Caldwell. Celebrating his life, love and legacy are, his father, Shawn Turner, brothers, Cameron (Kia) Caldwell and Adae Turner, sisters, Dominique and Taiyah Browning, Akiera and Aleiya Turner, and Shaquita Fernandez, his partner, Ronald Pompey and nephews, nieces, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly. Put simply, Daeshawn had a genuine innocence about him. When you saw him smiling (which was often the case) you couldn’t help but smile in return and feel a little extra warmth in your heart when doing so. Without him having to say a word, you could feel his love and joy for those he loved which will always be cherished forever. “Dae Dae, while your loss is immeasurable, so is the love that you left behind. We will forever hold you in our hearts. Until we meet again our son, our brother, our uncle, our nephew, our cousin, our friend….”
