Nassau-Charles Joseph Maguire age, 72 years passed away on Friday February 24, 2017 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital from cancer. He was born in Albany to the late Charles J. and Evelyn Clinger Maguire. He was a 1959 graduate of Albany High School. Charles was a member of Local 7 Plumbers & Steam Fitters for 45 years and Local 14 Stage Employees for 46 years. He was also a member of the United States National Guard. His hobbies included being a member of the Tri-Village Bowhunters, where he was a lifetime member and bowling in a league at Bowling Green in East Greenbush. He loved to tell stories and jokes, and loved to burn leaves and make fires in the yard. Charles like archery, bowling and playing with his grandchildren. He always looked forward to seeing the guys at the Schodack Dump on Saturday's, where they would sit and laugh and talk. Husband of Lorraine Maguire; father of Chuck (Shery) Maguire, Joseph (Monica) Maguire, Scott (Audrey) Maguire and Brian (Jen) Maguire; brother of Diane Maguire and Joyce (Mike) Cardoza; grandfather of Corrin, Breanna, Brian, Justin and Alyssa; great-grandfather of Maci and Adrianna; brother-in-law of Robert Weir. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Saturday morning at 10:00. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-7 pm. Interment will be in New Rural Cemetery, East Greenbush.
