Brian T. Hennigan

Rensselaer-Brian T. Hennigan, age 80, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at St. Peter's Hospice. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Patrick J.  and Bridget A. (Halligan) Hennigan in 1944.

Brian earned a bachelor's degree from Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and later a master's degree from Smith College in North Hampton, MA. He started his career in social work in 1984 and went on to work for Maloney Properties, Inc in Boston, MA, for 30 years. Brian was an avid gardener and he also enjoyed cooking.

Brian is survived and will be missed by his beloved wife of 35 years, Mary Sandstrom-Hennigan. He also leaves behind his sisters, Margaret Nepolitano, Mary Moran, and Jane Hennigan, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Brian is preceded in death by his brother Jack, and sister, Lauretta Canavan.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Williams Road, Troy. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family prior to the services beginning at 10:00 am.
