Rensselaer- Beverly A. Nead died peacefully surrounded by her husband and both nieces Lisa and Dawn on November 4, 2016 at the age of 80. Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Richard F. Nead, her son Glenn (Heidi) Nead of Oklahoma, her grandchildren TJ Nead, Debbie and Miriam all of Oklahoma and many grandnieces. She is predeceased in death by her parents Clarence and Anna May Burton, her brother Frank Burton and her sister-in-law Shirley Burton. Beverly was born June 22, 1936 in Albany. She married her husband Richard May 20, 1956. Beverly attended Philip Livingston High School. When her husband retired from the military in 1973 she loved working in her garden, quilting and sewing and made many new friends. She was a member of the Rosary Altar Society of St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church in Rensselaer. Her husband would like to thank the nurses and staff at St. Peter's Hospital for their outstanding care and attention in her final days and hours. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Thursday morning at 9:00 and 10:00 at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church, 50 Herrick Street Rensselaer where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Calling hours will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be at New Rural Cemetery East Greenbush. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the charity of your choice in Beverly's name.
