Barbara A. Galarneau

Barbara A. Galarneau, 70, of East Greenbush, passed away peacefully at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home on June 30, 2021. The daughter of the late Robert and Thelma Longacker, Barbara was a social butterfly with a heart of gold. Along with her parents, Barbara is now reunited in heaven with her son Robert and granddaughter, Alessia. She is survived by her brother Kenneth Longacker (Barbara), sister Kathleen Hindes (David), sons Craig Galarneau, Scott Galarneau (Christina), and grandchildren Giada and Darian as well as several nieces and nephews. Barbara loved her family and enjoyed passing the time coloring and painting. She will be remembered for her kind heart and will be greatly missed by her community.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave. in Rensselaer on Friday evening from 4:00-7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday morning at the funeral home, with interment in Bloomingrove Cemetery to follow.
