Anna A. Restifo

East Greenbush- Anna A. Restifo passed away on Monday, August 9, at the age of 94. She was born on November 28, 1926 in Albany to the late Gaetano Gullo and Anna Ermito and resided in East Greenbush most her life. She was the beloved wife of the late Samuel J. Restifo; they were married on April 23, 1949. Anna was a faithful communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Rensselaer. She left her position at Sterling Drug to devote her life to her family. She treasured her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, embracing every moment she spent with them. She was immensely proud of all her family and leaves nothing but beautiful memories behind. Anna is survived by her children, Salvatore (Nancy) Restifo, Mary (Arthur) Knapp, and Elizabeth (Bruce) Moore; her brother-in-law Philip Restifo; her grandchildren, Sarah, Al, Artie, and Samantha; her great-grandchildren, Brynn, Kurt, and Maryella; and several nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her brother, Anthony, Joseph (late Rose), Theodore (late Antoinette), and Thomas (late Priscilla); her sister Mary (late Louis); several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and a niece and several nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in the Church of St. Mary at Clinton Heights, Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush on Monday, August 16 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday, August 16 from 8:30-10:30 AM at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery Glenmont following the mass. Donations in Anna's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research hospital, 2 Pine West Plaza #202, Albany, NY 12205.
