Troy- Anna Marie Boyer passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Easter Sunday, March 31st. She was born in Abbateggio, Italy on August 29, 1946 to Francesco and Filomena Breda. She came to the US at the age of 10 and grew up in Rensselaer. She attended St. Joseph’s, and spent most of her young life caring for her siblings. She was employed at Williams Press, Fuller Brush, and University Heights Nursing Home.
She is survived by her children Phyllis and Richard Baker, former husband Ronald, and siblings Lina (James) Cacciotti, John Breda. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and was especially close to Erica (Jake) Smith. She adored their children Madison, Jason, Carmela, and Pippa.
She is predeceased by her dear Uncle Nick Demarco (Mary). Her siblings Carmela, Quintino, and Joseph (Royan), as well as beloved niece Lisa, and husband Raymond Boyer, who inspired a great love of baseball.
It gave her great pleasure to cook and entertain for family and friends. She was also known for her feisty and determined demeanor, and continued to do as much as she could despite a chronic health condition and enduring lymphoma. She enjoyed embroidery, casinos, baking, and listening to her Elvis collection. She became an avid Yankees and Brooklyn Nets fan, which never ceased to surprise her family. We will miss her dearly.
A service to celebrate her life will be on Tuesday, April 9th at 11:00 AM at W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service beginning at 9:30 AM. Following the service she will join her parents at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Greenbush, New York.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish, you may donate to one of her favorite charities: St Jude Children's Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
