Angela Ring

Rensselaer- Angela N. Damiano Best Ring age 88 passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Albany and resided in Rensselaer for most of her life. Angela was the manager of the Doctors Dining Room at Albany Medical Center. She was President of the St. Joseph's Parents Guild. Wife of the late John J. Ring and formerly the late James E. Best, Sr. Mother of Sharren Best, James (Sherry) E. Best, Jr., Janis (late George) Stergion, Bonnie Best, Donna Carr and Nancy (Thomas) Campbell. Grandmother of Jason Ellis, Michael O'Sullivan, Shannon O'Sullivan, James Best, III, Joshua Campbell, Nicholas Stergion, Bryan Best, Brooke Abady, Sherlyn Robinson, Ian Campbell, Zacharie Campbell, Sarah Carr and Storie Campbell. Also survived by 13 great grandchildren. Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Monday evening at 7 PM. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call to the funeral home prior to the service from 4-7 pm. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
