Schodack- Alvin W. Dubois, Sr., age 89, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024, at home with his wife of 58 years, Joyce (Smallenbroek) Dubois, and his son, Eric A. Dubois, and his wife Lynne (Howell) Dubois.

He was the son of the late Rachel Snyder and his stepfather, William Snyder. He is also predeceased by his brother Albert Dubois (survives, Dorothy Grey), and step-sisters, Joan Dubois and Katherine (Dubois) Lafore.

Alvin graduated from Van Rensselaer High School, where he loved playing Varsity basketball. He was a driver/salesman for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company for 37 years. Alvin retired in 1997 and lived part-time in New Port Richey, FL, where he became close friends with his neighbors and spent time with his brother-in-law, Theodore Smallenbroek, and his family.
