North Greenbush- On Tuesday, March 29 in the early morning at St. Peter's Hospice Inn, Alice E. McLaughlin passed away in her sleep after a long courageous battle with Lymphoma. Alice was born in Rensselaer, NY on September 8, 1932 to Catherine Mach Ewashko and Nick Ewashko. She was married on August 2, 1952 to the absolute love of her life, William J. McLaughlin (her Billy) who predeceased her by 8 months. She is survived by 2 of her siblings; Sophie Moran and John Ewashko. She was predeceased by 3 siblings: Walter Ewashko, Mary Alberti and Ann Budnowski. She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Patricia Ann Blanc; her son-in-law, Jon C. Blanc; her 2 grandchildren, Karen E. Smith (Roger) and Jon P. Blanc (Samantha) as well as 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She will be especially missed by her furry grandchildren, Annie, Katie and Murphie Blanc for all the treats and love she always bestowed on them. She was a very gracious friend, a truly loving daughter, Mom and Grandma and it was obvious to everyone that knew her that her life revolved completely around her loved ones and her home.
